Workmanship Warranty

Our Commitment to Quality

At Opus Pavers, we take pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship and enduring outdoor environments. Every project is constructed using industry best practices, premium materials, and meticulous installation standards. To stand behind our work, we provide a Two-Year Workmanship Warranty on all qualifying installations and for work that we performed. Potential Exclusions listed below.

Two-Year Workmanship Warranty

Opus Pavers warrants that the workmanship associated with your paver installation will be free from defects for a period of two (2) years from the date of substantial project completion. During the warranty period, Opus Pavers will repair covered workmanship defects at no cost to the original property owner.

- Excessive settlement of pavers resulting from improper base preparation.
- Significant movement or displacement of pavers caused
by installation defects.
- Failure of edge restraints due to improper installation.
- Improper drainage resulting directly from installation workmanship.
- Separation or movement of retaining wall components caused by installation defects.
- Loose, rocking, or uneven pavers caused by deficient installation methods.
- Defects in concrete footings or foundations installed by Opus Pavers that affect the performance of the completed project.

What Is Not Covered

Because hardscape installations are exposed to natural environmental conditions, this warranty does not cover:

Natural Ground Movement
- Soil expansion or contraction.
- Frost heave.
- Earthquakes, landslides, sinkholes, or other geological events.
- Settlement caused by underlying soils or conditions that could not reasonably be identified during construction.
- Acts of Nature
- Flooding.
- Excessive runoff from neighboring properties.
- Windstorms, hail, wildfire, lightning, or other severe weather events.

Vehicle or Impact Damage
- Damage caused by automobiles, trailers, heavy equipment, snowplows, or other external forces.
- Excessive loading beyond the intended design capacity of the installation.

Material-Related Conditions
- Natural color variations in concrete, stone, or manufactured products.
- Efflorescence (a naturally occurring white mineral deposit present in the fabrication of all paver products unless specified otherwise).
- Minor surface wear consistent with normal use.
- Manufacturer defects covered by separate manufacturer warranties.

Maintenance and Care
- Damage resulting from improper maintenance.
- Use of de-icing chemicals not approved for concrete pavers.
- Pressure washing damage.
- Failure to maintain joint stabilization materials where applicable.

Third-Party Modifications
- Alterations, repairs, excavations, utility work, landscaping, irrigation installation, or construction performed by parties other than Opus Pavers after project completion.
- Installation of work on top of pavers that was not specified before installation so our installation could account for additional weight or lateral forces on the paver.

Snow Melt Systems

For projects incorporating radiant snow melt systems, Opus Pavers subcontracts all work to approved and licensed contractors in the appropriate field with 40+ years of experience in the process of installing residential and commercial snow melt systems from every size and configuration. Warranties are provided by subcontractors and are available upon request by the client at any point before, during or after the project.

Retaining Walls

Retaining walls installed by Opus Pavers are covered against workmanship defects for two (2) years.

The warranty does not cover:
- Failures caused by improper drainage conditions outside the project scope.
- Surcharge loads added after construction.
- Structural changes to adjacent properties.
- Conditions caused by undisclosed site issues.

Warranty Claims

To initiate a warranty claim, the property owner must:

- Notify Opus Pavers in writing within the warranty period.
- Provide photographs and a description of the concern.
- Allow Opus Pavers reasonable access to inspect the installation.

Opus Pavers reserves the right to inspect the project before determining warranty eligibility and performing repairs.

Warranty Limitations

This workmanship warranty is limited to repair or replacement of defective workmanship. Under no circumstances shall Opus Pavers be liable for incidental, consequential, indirect, or special damages, including loss of use, loss of property value, or costs incurred by third parties.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

The Opus Standard

Luxury hardscapes should be built to endure. Our commitment extends beyond installation day, ensuring that your investment is protected and your outdoor space continues to perform beautifully for years to come.

Annual Inspection & Maintenance Services

Beyond any warranty coverage, Opus offers inspection, maintenance and repair services to help preserve the beauty, performance, and longevity of your hardscape investment for both existing clients and qualifying installations. These are paid services that depend on the location and complexity of the project and subsequent maintenance required.

Service Scheduling
- To ensure the adequate availability, best quality results and proper curing conditions, routine maintenance and non-emergency repairs are generally scheduled during early Spring or early Fall.

Emergency Repairs
- If a condition creates an immediate hazard or presents a significant risk of further damage to the property, vehicles, or pedestrian traffic, Opus Pavers may perform emergency repairs outside of normal maintenance seasons when practical and weather conditions permit
